I was really lucky to have been exposed to travelling at a young age by family. One of my first holidays was to Aranelle in Spain with my mum and my aunt. I don’t remember all that much from the trip now, but when I do think of it, I recall it fondly. Do you ever get those happy nostalgia moments?

When I asked my mum why she took me away so young, she said she wanted to show me there was much more to the world than just the streets where we lived. Mission definitely accomplished! Till this day as a long footed woman, I enjoy seeing new places and getting out of my own backyard. Here you will find my memoirs on trips taken previously, diaries of current travels and of course, also those to come.

Sightseeing in Jaipur

We went sightseeing for 1 full day in Jaipur. Cramming the itineraries of all the blogs we’d read into one fateful day. Which just so happened to be perhaps the hottest day I’ve ever experienced in my life. Being a child of the sun, I often give it ‘all that’…

Staying at Lake Pichola Hotel

The drive from Udaipur airport to our hotel, we felt like we got to see a bit more of the real India. The air was clouded with sand from the roads, genuinely making it hard to see out the windows. Tuckered out, just in generally, I drifted off a bit…

Staying at The Claridges Hotel

The Claridges Hotel New Delhi was a lovely lap of luxury to start our trip. I arrived first to the hotel solo, which was perhaps a 25 min drive from the airport. I booked all of our airport transfers via booking.com, and have to say it was brill. Everyone turned…

Introduction to India

So, India. I’m back home now and I can say it was wonderful, and I am very grateful to be home safely. Don’t get me wrong, whilst the trip was amazing – the food, the people, the vistas – it’s been nice returning to London and being just one of…

India Bound!

For a reason I can’t quite put my finger on, perhaps it was watching ‘Bend It Like Beckham’, at a young impressional age, I have always been quite into Indian culture. (Here’s me gushing about the musical adaptation a few years ago!) The lights, the traditions, the traditional dress, I…
