I was really lucky to have been exposed to travelling at a young age by family. One of my first holidays was to Aranelle in Spain with my mum and my aunt. I don’t remember all that much from the trip now, but when I do think of it, I recall it fondly. Do you ever get those happy nostalgia moments?

When I asked my mum why she took me away so young, she said she wanted to show me there was much more to the world than just the streets where we lived. Mission definitely accomplished! Till this day as a long footed woman, I enjoy seeing new places and getting out of my own backyard. Here you will find my memoirs on trips taken previously, diaries of current travels and of course, also those to come.

Thursday 16th August 2018 // Previous Day Morning My first night in Thailand I was conked out by 11 and slept soundly. The bed at the Marina Phuket Hotel was sumptuous and the sheets were soft as silk. I awoke at 6am and it quickly became clear that my sleep…

Tokyo Disney Sea

The feature picture is definitely my favourite of the day. An absolute accidentally funny moment caught on camera by a kind fellow Disney goer willing to take a picture of two girls in matching shirts. With a day at Tokyo Disneyland under my belt, I was bursting at the seams…

Last Work Days

My last days at work were truly bittersweet.   Whilst I was pumped to be moving back home to family and friends and starting a new venture, I was sad to be leaving the life I had built in Maastricht over almost two years.   My hesitation to leave, to this…

Packing Up

Packing up my studio in Maastricht was no easy feat, let me tell you! I thought it would be no big deal, but I was severely mistaken.   When I first moved in back in September 2016, I received the apartment empty. Over the following weeks I slowly bought the…
