I was really lucky to have been exposed to travelling at a young age by family. One of my first holidays was to Aranelle in Spain with my mum and my aunt. I don’t remember all that much from the trip now, but when I do think of it, I recall it fondly. Do you ever get those happy nostalgia moments?

When I asked my mum why she took me away so young, she said she wanted to show me there was much more to the world than just the streets where we lived. Mission definitely accomplished! Till this day as a long footed woman, I enjoy seeing new places and getting out of my own backyard. Here you will find my memoirs on trips taken previously, diaries of current travels and of course, also those to come.

First Day in Japan

Friday   We arrived at Miwa’s house early in the morning, the sun was blazing, and already intense. As I looked around the sweet entrance hall, I noticed this sign looking back at me. I got set up in Miwa’s room and we took in a drink and cooled off,…

Lost in Japan

Tokyo, Tokyo where do I begin? I truly am lost in the sauce with this one.   I first mentioned back in February that I was Japan Bound, and last week I got back from the beautiful country. For lack of a better word, it was simply amazing, and I’m…

Busman’s Holiday Part 2

So as you may have guessed; we made it to London unscathed! Alas I wasn’t able to get any more fire action, but I had an equally great time editing documents for a friend. Helping to bring out the best of her through her motivation letter and CV so she…

Tokyo Time!

The time for Tokyo has finally arrived. Crazy!   I feel like my life this year is a series of booking things, forgetting about them, and then being totally unprepared for them when they roll around.    It seems like just yesterday I booked these tickets, so this year is…

Busman’s Holiday

Sometimes you just can’t beat a coach journey. It may not be the fastest way to reach your destination but by gum it’s the cheapest. I picked up my first ever Flixbus in the early hours of Wednesday morning. My bus would depart at 3:20am to make its way to…

Copenhagen

As mentioned in my last post, last weekend I visited Copenhagen! I’ve put together a little video with footage from the trip so you can see that down below. I always start out vlogging with the best intentions, but forget all about it around halfway through, but little by little…

Denmark Birthday Weekender

So today marks the beginning of my first trip that I will be documenting live. As it actually happens! How exciting. This evening I will be going to Copenhagen with a few friends for a birthday weekender. The origins of the trip came about very spontaneously merely two weeks ago!…

Heatwave

Maastricht is a beautiful city all year round, but when the sun shines, it’s really something else. We’ve been having a little heatwave lately, and with the sun beaming down from the sky illuminating the Maas river, the views are truly breathtaking.   The town, much like the rest of…

Winter Wonderland

To me, one of the single best benefits of cold weather is snow. If it’s cold without magical white flecks falling from the heavens, I’m often not impressed. This Monday, as I went to retrieve my bike from its resting place for my commute to work I found it was…
